Strummin’ in the City (#72)

Tuesday, August 28, 2012

jason poole, accidental hawaiian crooner, nyc, little league, kamaka, kamaka ukulele, strummin' in the city, urban strummer

Holding on to summer: Little league and my Kamaka soprano (standard) 'ukulele. (NYC, 8.28.12)

A lot of folks find it hard to believe that I carry my ‘ukulele with me all the time.

But you never know when you might feel like strumming!

And as Pops is always quick to advise: E ho’omākaukau. Be prepared.

Ah… the life of an urban strummer!

(Do you like the ʻukulele in the photo? Check out for some of the best ʻukuleles on the planet!)

I love the beautiful sun glare on your uke. Nice. How I wish I were strummin’ in the city with you.

Thanks, NoHo! I thought the photo really captured the feel of the moment. (It was hot out there, too!) Ah, summer and strummin’–a great combination, for sure! Wish you could be here to strum along with me!
